They are normally fully enclosed and are designed to hold treated water not raw water. definately no fishing opportunity.
Makes you wonder why its needed ? is the spending justified in current climate ? what impact might it have on glen auldyn river ?

This is something I intend on doing this year, despite everything that's been said about the place

Hello all,
So.......how did the first day treat you all? I saw some nice fish taken in the Clypse and Gordie had a coupla nice ones from the K'dhoo......I didn't do quite as well myself, managed to just scrape 2, biggest being about 3 1/2 pound though so certainly can't grumble!....gave a good scrap too!
Cracking day weather wise and even though I found the fishing hard work it was great to be back on the water.......roll on tomorrow!

It wasn,t the usual bonanza on numbers of fish but the quality was excellent! Two at 7lb weighed , a 4.14 and a couple of 3lb+ I was up from 7am to 3pm - 8 hours - for 9 fish. As is usual at this time of year there were long spells of no action followed by a 5 minute flurry of activity.
Far from easy but enjoyable fishing . Better being a bit tricky than having them give themselves up too easy.
It was a lovely day and a pleasure being out again.
Here are a copuple of pics.

![]() Nice fish - picture doesnt do it justice - estimate of 7lb.
I hear there were also some nice fish caught at other waters - cringle and injerbreck. Brother in law had a 10.8 from Injerbreck. A crackin overwintered fish in tip top condition.
Roll on the rest of the season.
